Brazil health ministry reviews 300 suspicious cases

Brazil’s health ministry is reviewing the records of 300 patients after it accused a doctor of killing seven terminally ill patients in a southern Brazilian hospital.

A ministry spokesperson said Virginia Helena Soares de Souza and seven assistants are suspected of injecting the patients with drug cocktails and of tampering with their respirators.

Souza was arrested last month but released on bail a week ago pending the outcome of the investigation.
