An elderly couple in their 70s were taken to hospital after an explosion, suspected to be caused by a gas leak, "totally demolished" their home near Stirling. Marianne Cunningham, 74, has been discharged. Husband Robin, 77, is in a stable condition.

Elderly couple in house explosion named

The elderly couple who were taken to hospital after an explosion "totally demolished" their home in Stirling have been named.

Marianne Cunningham, 74, was taken to Forth Valley Royal Infirmary with minor injuries before later being discharged.

Robin Cunningham, 77, was airlifted to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by helicopter, where he remains in a stable condition.
