Parents: If Joe had told us he would still be alive today

The mother of a boy who took his own life after police arrested him for drink driving told Daybreak that if her son was treated as a minor, he would still be alive today.

As a 17-year-old, Joe Lawton was treated as an adult, and his parents Nick and Jane were not informed of his arrest.
