Stuart Andrew, the Conservative MP for Pudsey, Horsforth and Aireborough, has questioned the decision to suspend children's congenital heart surgery at Leeds General Infirmary.
He wrote on Facebook: "The decision to suspend heart surgery in Leeds raises so many questions. Why now?
"A day after court ruling and when parliament is not sitting. Questions I intend to ask."
The Archbishop of York has spoken out against the controversial decision to suspend a children's congenital heart surgery unit in Leeds.
Questions have been raised over the halting of a heart surgery in a unit in Leeds which had only recently survived closure plans.
