Measles cases rise to 886

Public Health Wales has reported that the number of measles cases has risen to 886, as children have gone back to school after Easter. 25-year-old Gareth Williams died during the epidemic, it has not been confirmed whether measles was the cause.

Growing concern over measles outbreak in South Wales

There is growing concern about a measles outbreak in South Wales - the latest in a series across the UK.

The number of cases jumped by 25 per cent over Easter and doctors, who said the potentially fatal virus is spreading at an "alarming rate", issued an urgent appeal for children to be inoculated.
