Pilot lands plane on its nose after wheel fault

A twin-engined aircraft landed safely without a nose wheel at Toowoomba airport in Queensland airport in Australia on Wednesday.

Local media said the pilot and co-pilot had reported their nose wheel had not deployed due to what is believed to have been a faulty undercarriage.

ABC News said the pilot, Mark Crampton, managed to touch down without injury after sliding along the runway on the nose of the Beechcraft Baron 58.

The incident will be investigated.
