Kim Jong-Un takes part in target practice drill

A new video released by North Korea's state news agency shows the country's leader Kim Jong-Un shooting a handgun during a target practice drill.

The leader often appears in such videos as a passive bystander - inspecting ranks of soldiers or watching drills through a pair of binoculars - so it is unusual to see him taking part.

The footage was reportedly shot at the end of last month. ITV News cannot independently confirm its content.
