Blackburn 'won't hold minute's silence for Thatcher'

BBC sports reporter Ben Smith has said Blackburn Rovers will not hold a minute's silence for Lady Thatcher before Saturday's match, despite the former prime minister being an honorary vice-president at the club:


I understand that Blackburn Rovers will now NOT hold a minute's silence for Mrs Thatcher on Saturday.


Thatcher became an honorary vice president of Blackburn in 1998 but after talks today club will not mark her death.


Thatcher's coffin in Parliament

The body of Baroness Thatcher is in a chapel inside the Houses of Parliament, where a service was held for MPs, peers and parliamentary staff. Her funeral takes place today.
