Two men to appear in court over organist death

Two men will appear before a judge today charged with the murder of church organist Alan Greaves who was killed on Christmas Eve.

The 68-year-old was attacked in the street as he made his way from his home in High Green, Sheffield, to midnight Mass at nearby St Saviour's Church.

Ashley Foster, 21, and Jonathan Bowling, 22, have been charged with murder.

They are set to appear at a plea and case management hearing at Sheffield Crown Court this morning after South Yorkshire Police charged the two men with his murder in mid-January.
