Strong tremors were felt in New Delhi, India, this afternoon that shook tall buildings and sent people running into the streets.
Punjab, Haryana and the Union Territory of Chandigarh also experienced mild tremors, officials said.
There were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property.
