Trial of man accused of killing girlfriend to begin

The trial of the man accused of murdering his girlfriend Catherine Wells-Burr is expected to begin today.

Thirty-one-year-old Rafal Piotr Nowak will go on trial alongside his former partner Anna Julia Lagwinowicz, 32, and Tadevsz Dmytryszyn, 38.

All three deny killing the Bath Spa University, from Chard in Somerset, between September 10 and 13 last year.

The body of the 23-year-old business analyst was discovered by firefighters in her burning red Ford Focus beside the A358 at Ashill, near Ilminster, Somerset.
