The owner of a fertiliser plant that exploded last week killing 14 people and destroying dozens of homes and an apartment complex in a tiny Texas town is being sued by a single mom and by several insurance companies.

Hospital: No chemical injuries so far after Texas blast

There have been no chemical injuries so far after the fertiliser plant explosion in West, Texas, a doctor at the Hillcrest Hospital said.

A spokesman said at least 60 employees of the West Fertilizer Co were being treated at the hospital.

Victims in the hospital currently include those with skin injuries, bruised lungs, and impact injuries from the initial blast and from subsequent debris.
