Boston bombs 'remote trigger'

US investigators have revealed the two bombs that went off at the Boston Marathon were detonated with the kind of remote control device used for a toy car.

Boat owner tipped police after spotting Boston suspect

Boat owner David Henneberry walked outside to have a cigarette after Governor of Massachusetts Deval Patrick lifted a curfew in Boston's Watertown, and discovered accused bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in his boat.

Mr Henneberry is thought to have tipped off police, leading to the eventual capture of 19-year-old Tsarnaev.
