The Ministry of the Interior said that the men are "suspected of being members of a terrorist cell related to the radical organisation Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb".
Algerian Mediouni Nou was detained in Zaragoza in the Aragon region, while Moroccan Hassan El Jaaouani was detained in Murcia.
