Duke of Edinburgh arrives in Canada on three-day visit

The Duke of Edinburgh has arrived in Canada where he will present a regiment with a new ceremonial flag.

Today, Prince Philip will present new colours as colonel-in-chief to the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment in Toronto.

Philip, 91, will return to England on Sunday.

Philip 'well' on Canada visit

The Duke of Edinburgh has been awarded one of Canada's highest honours, the Commander of the Order of Military Merit, during a three-day visit to the country. A spokesman has said Prince Philip is "well" despite heavy bruising his eye in recent days.
