Ball and Staunton pick up Oliviers for Sweeney Todd

Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton have won Olivier Awards for their performances in the musical Sweeney Todd.

Ball picked up the gong for Best Actor In A Musical while Staunton took the award for Best Actress In A Musical:

Dame Helen Mirren has been crowned Best Actress at the Olivier Awards for her performance as the Queen in The Audience. The other success story of the night was The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, which picked up seven awards.
