Reports: Two missing after hot air balloon falls near Peru

A search operation is under way for two male occupants of a hot air balloon that fell into the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Peru, according to media reports.

Five females who were also on board have reportedly been rescued from the ocean and are now being treated in hospital.

The Agence France-Presse news agency cites Peru's interior minister as saying that none of the passengers were wearing life jackets and that the balloon was not equipped with GPS.
