Hammond pays tribute to soldiers killed in Afghanistan

I was deeply saddened to learn ofthe deaths of these soldiers, each highly praised and respected by theircolleagues and commanders.

It is clear from the tributes paid to them thatthey were exceptional men who served their country with distinction.

My thoughts go out to the families and friends of these brave men at this very difficult time.

Afghan bomb soldiers tributes

The families and friends of three soldiers killed in Afghanistan have been paying tributes to the men. Corporal William Savage, Fusilier Samuel Flint and Private Robert Hetherington died in a bomb attack on Tuesday.
