Boat safety cord 'not attached'

The driver of a speedboat which killed two members of the same family as it raged out of control in Cornwall was not attached to a safety device designed to cut power in an emergency, an investigators' report concluded.

Maritime Agency: No others struck by speedboat

A press officer for Maritime and Coastguard Agency has told ITV News that no other people were in the water when two people were killed in a speedboat accident in Padstow, Cornwall.

"It is a popular area for speedboats. It has been a busy Bank Holiday", Jo Rawlings said.

She added, "A number of [emergency] units are still on the scene".
