Nigel Evans visits pub after denying rape claim

Deputy House of Commons Speaker Nigel Evans visited the pub next door to his cottage, after speaking for the first time about his arrest on suspicion of rape and sexual assault, saying the claims are "completely false".

Evans Commons duties on hold

Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons Nigel Evans will not resume chairing duties in the chamber while police investigations continue into allegations of rape and sexual assault, a Commons spokesman said. Mr Evans denies the allegations.
