UN Syria plan 'must be roadmap to peace'

US Secretary of State John Kerry reaffirmed his country's commitment to the international plan agreed last June in Geneva to end the ongoing crisis in Syria.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov he said the plan proposed by Kofi Annan, the Geneva Communique, must be "the roadmap" for peace.

US and Russia agree Syria talks

Russia and the United States agreed to put aside their differences over Syria and to try to convene international talks with both sides in the civil war to end the carnage that is inflaming the Middle East.
