National Lottery sales have hit an all-time high of £6.9 billion over the last year, operator Camelot has announced.
In 2012/13 the group gave £1.9 billion to good causes, an increase of nearly 7% from last year, bringing the total amount donated over 19 years to £30 billion.
Sales of tickets and scratch cards were up 2.4% from March 2012, with more than £3.6 billion paid out in prizes.
A record 365 National Lottery millionaires were created during the year, with 100 in the UK, following the special EuroMillions 100 UK Millionaires Raffle.
The total number of lottery-millionaires to date is more than 3,300.
