MBE for most injured soldier

A soldier thought to have survived the worst ever battlefield injuries in Afghanistan has been given an MBE by the Prince of Wales. Lance Bombardier Ben Parkinson lost both legs and sustained more than 40 injuries including brain damage in 2006.

Lance Bombardier Ben Parkinson receives his MBE

Lance Bombardier Ben Parkinson, who survived the worst ever battlefield injuries in Afghanistan, has received his MBE from the Prince of Wales.

He was awarded for his services to raising money for military charities.
