A man has been charged with the murder of four soldiers in the IRA bombing of Hyde Park on 20 July, 1982, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) announced today
John Anthony Downey, 61, from County Donegal, has been charged with the murders of Roy John Bright, Dennis Richard Anthony Daly, Simon Andrew Tipper and Geoffrey Vernon Young, the CPS said.
He has also been charged with intending to cause an explosion likely to endanger life.
