PM: Drive Syria extremists out

David Cameron said he wants to see al Qaeda-linked extremists "driven out" of Syria. His comments came as Egypt's President Mohammed Morsi told a gathering in Cairo that his country has cut all diplomatic ties with Syria.

McCain: President has not decided on arming rebels

Senator John McCain has told the US Senate that he does not believe President Barack Obama has made a final decision on arming Syrian rebels, "but he has made the decision that chemical weapons have been used".

He added: "I think it is obvious that they will be providing weapons. They need a no-fly zone."
