Fire service: Three people rescued from Liverpool dock

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service have rescued three people after an amphibious tour bus sank in Liverpool's Albert Dock.

Three people have been rescued by firefighters from the water. We have had assistance from a number of agencies on scene.

We worked with police, ambulance and coastguard, and the RAF to account for everyone onboard.

The initial responding firefighters from Toxteth and City Centre community fire stations carried out the rescues.

There was no-one trapped from the sinking vessel. All persons have now been accounted for.

Tour boat sinks in Liverpool

An investigation has been launched after 31 people were rescued or had to swim to safety when an amphibious tour bus sank in Liverpool.
