US informed of Snowden's departure from Hong Kong

The United States has been informed by Hong Kong authorities of Edward Snowden's departure from Hong Kong for a third country, the US Justice Department said.

The Department confirmed that it will seek the co-operation of countries where Snowden maybe heading and will continue its dialogue with Hong Kong.

WikiLeaks 'helps Snowden asylum'

WikiLeaks has claimed that it helped with US intelligence leaker Edward Snowden's "political asylum in a democratic country, travel papers and safe exit from Hong Kong".
