Osborne curbs welfare benefits

The newly unemployed will have to wait at least seven days before they are able to sign on, under a series of changes to welfare benefits announced by the Chancellor. A new welfare cap will be set from 2015 and OAP expats face losing fuel payments.

Miliband grills Prime Minister over new schools

Labour leader Ed Miliband is asking the Prime Minister about the progress of the Priority School Building Programme, claiming that work has started on only one of the promised 261.

David Cameron countered that the coalition government has increased infrastructure spending since the last Labour government.
