A 17-year-old British holidaymaker who was stabbed 17 times and left for dead in an attack in Turkey has returned home to Middlesbrough. He has thanked "the best surgeon in Turkey" for saving his life.

British teenager critically ill after stabbing in Turkey

A British teenager is critically ill in hospital in Turkey after being repeatedly stabbed. The 17-year-old was discovered in a garden in the Tepe district of the popular holiday resort of Marmaris. Two men are reported to have been arrested over the stabbing.
