Nadine Dorries: 'I'm going to be working for nothing'

Conservative MP Nadine Dorries told Daybreak "I'm going to be working for nothing" after her decision to stop claiming parliamentary expenses.

Ms Dorries, who represents the Mid Bedfordshire constituency, said her salary will go towards paying for her second home in Westminster "which I need to do my job".

The MP said she thinks the expenses system should be scrapped, adding, "I can't campaign for the scrapping of expenses if I am drawing expenses".
