A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was fatally stabbed at her home.
Nottinghamshire Police said Denise Williamson, 44, was found with serious stab wounds at her house in Hucknall, near Nottingham, at about 8.50pm on Friday. She was taken to hospital but later died.
A post-mortem carried out by a Home Office pathologist revealed cause of death was as a result of stab wounds she had sustained.
A 52-year-old man, detained at the scene, has been arrested on suspicion of her murder.
Detectives have appealed for anyone who has been in contact with the murder victim in the last few weeks to get in contact with them.
