Two passengers killed in San Francisco crash named

Two passengers killed when a Asiana Airlines plane crashed landed at San Francisco have been identified as 16-year-old Chinese nationals, an airline spokesperson has said.

The two girls were named as Ye Meng Yuan and Wang Lin Jia, both students, Asiana Airlines said.

The Boeing 777 crashed on Saturday, bursting into flames, killing the two young passengers and injuring more than 180 people, officials said.

Pilot 'knew plane was too low'

The senior pilot in the cockpit of Asiana flight that crashed landed in San Francisco airport on Saturday realised the plane was too low when it was flying at only 500ft (152m), an official has said.
