At least six people were injured when part of a five-story building in lower Manhattan collapsed following a reported explosion, fire officials report.
Firefighters responding to 17 Pike Street, near the South Street Seaport, found part of the first floor collapsed and a fire burning in the building, a New York Fire Department spokesman said.
The cause of the explosion was unclear.

Investigations are ongoing into the incident which led to 17 deaths last week.
