The Queen has echoed the anticipation felt across the UK as to when the royal baby will finally arrive.
During a visit to Lake Windermere today, she was asked by a group of children whether she wanted the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's baby to be a boy or a girl.
The Queen replied, "I don't think I mind but I would very much like it to arrive because I'm going on holiday soon."
