Three 12-week-old snow leopard cubs have ventured from their cave at Marwell Zoo near Winchester for the first time.

Born on April 21, the trio spent the first few months living with their mother Irina in the safety of their den.

Two of the cubs have been named Animesh, which means ‘bright’ and ‘to stare open eyed’ in Nepalese, and Ariun, which means ‘pure’ in Mongolian. The third is yet to be named.
