Chris Froome has paid tribute to his Team Sky team mates for their part in his Tour de France victory. He also told ITV News next year's Tour, which starts in Yorkshire, "is going to be massive" and "an exciting element."

Chris Froome finishes with team to win Tour de France

Britain's Chris Froome won the 100th edition of the Tour de France finishing safely in the bunch on the 21st and final stage of the three-week race, a 133.5-km ride from Versailles to Paris which was won by Germany's Marcel Kittel.

The Kenyan-born rider led Colombia's Nairo Quintana in the overall standings, with Spain's Joaquim Rodriguez third.

Team Sky lost time on the final stage owing to a plan to cross the finishing line arm in arm and together as a team.
