A 40-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with the murder of a woman and the attempted murder of two others.
The 28-year-old woman was attacked at a flat in Tilson Gardens, Brixton, south London, on Monday and later pronounced dead at the scene.
Desmond Brooks spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth and was told he will appear for a further hearing at the Old Bailey on Friday.
