The musician was in hospital for several days after suffering "severe head trauma" but is now recovering at home.

The band - formed after Oasis split - have already cancelled shows in Belgium and Japan following the accident on Thursday. No details about the incident have been released.

A statement released on Beady Eye's website said: "The band apologise to fans but under the circumstances feel they cannot perform without Gem and want to focus on supporting him throughout his recovery.

"Gem was released from hospital yesterday evening and is recovering at home, though remains under observation."
