South Yorkshire Police Detective Inspector Helen Tate said she felt a "huge sense of relief" after finding missing Erika Kacicova in Bradford city centre.
She added that she could not say what has happened to the 13-year-old over the last week and confirmed that four men and one woman from Bradford are in custody on suspicion of child abduction.
Det Insp Tate added she was "overwhelmed" by the public's response to the appeals and said Erika had not seen her family yet, but they had been informed of her discovery.
