The Foreign Office has tonight reissued advice to British citizens travelling to Egypt. In a statement, a spokesperson said:
The overall level of our travel advice remains unchanged. We continue to advise against all travel to the Governorate of North Sinai, and against all but essential travel to the rest of Egypt, with the exception of the Red Sea resorts.
We advise all British Nationals who are in Egypt or who are planning to travel to Egypt to regularly check our travel advice.
