Amateur footage posted on a social media appears to show protesters in central Egypt jumping off a bridge in an attempt to flee gunfire from military helicopters overhead.
Others are seen scrambling down a cable to escape the bridge in the Ramses area, where more than 60 people are said to have died in clashes today. It is unclear whether those fleeing the bridge made it to safety.
The Muslim Brotherhood told supporters to assemble in Ramses square. The Ramses mosque later acted as a makeshift morgue and hospital, crowded with dozens of dead bodies and hundreds of injured people.
