Syria: John Kerry claims 'lies'

Syria has denied charges by US Secretary of State John Kerry that it uses chemical weapons, adding that "what he said was lies" and baseless. A US intelligence report says at least 1429 people including 426 children were killed in the attack.

'Highly unlikely' opposition carried out chemical attack

Secretary of State John Kerry said the UN inspectors could not tell the US anything it did not already know about the chemical weapons attack in Syria on August 21.

A intelligence report also said it was "highly unlikely" the Syrian opposition executed the attack.
