Premier League football clubs spent a record £630 million on new players during the summer transfer window, according to research by the Deloitte's Sports Business Group.
The transfer window, which closed at 11pm, netted £130 million more than the previous record of £500 million set in 2008.
Some of the biggest deals - including Mesut Ozil's transfer to Arsenal and Manchester United signing Marouane Fellaini - came on deadline day.
