Norfolk man faces explosives charge

A 23-year-old man has been charged under the Explosive Substances Act, police said.

Kane Woodward, of Albion Road, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, was detained following the discovery of suspicious materials at an address in the town.

Woodward also faces charges of possession of a prohibited weapon in connection with the discovery of a stun gun and possession of a Class B drug (cannabis) with intent to supply.

The items were recovered by police during the search of an address in Albion Road yesterday.Members of the public were not considered to be at risk, police said.Woodward was remanded in police custody to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
