Northwich Victoria manager Lee Ashcroft has been given a 10-match stadium ban and a fine for sexist abuse of a female opposition coach.

Gresley FC first-team coach Hannah Gresley said she was subjected to "extreme, sustained sexist abuse" by Ashcroft during a seventh-tier 2-2 draw in January.

The 40-year-old has also been told to complete an "appropriate education programme," the Football Association said.

Ashcroft had denied the charge but at a personal hearing on Tuesday the Independent Regulatory Commission found the charge proven.
