William to be president of United for Wildlife group

The Duke of Cambridge is to expand his conservation work, increasing efforts to protect endangered species and habitats, Kensington Palace announced.

William will be president of United for Wildlife which will "bring together some of the world’s largest environmental organisations and harness the resources and expertise of global leaders in business, communications, technology and the creative industries."

Initial focus will be on the illegal wildlife trade.
