Tour of Britain gets under way

Olympic champion Sir Bradley Wiggins will lead the Tour of Britain team today in Peebles, Scotland. The 33-year-old will joined by Ian Stannard, Josh Edmondson, Bernhard Eisel, Mathew Hayman and David Lopez as part of the six-man team.

Wiggins among favourites as Tour of Britain starts

Former Tour de France winner Sir Bradley Wiggins is among the race favourites along with Nairo Quintana, second behind Britain's Chris Froome in this year's Tour.

This year's race starts on the Scottish Borders and will move through the Lake District, Snowdonia and Dartmoor before concluding with a showpiece finish in central London.
