Houses have been searched in east London and Lancashire after two British men were arrested earlier this week in connection with suspected terrorism in Syria, the Metropolitan Police said.
The men, aged 29 and 22, were stopped at Dover Port, Kent, in the early hours of September 16 and arrested on suspicion of being involved in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.
The Met Police also confirmed that ammunition had been seized.
