Manchester fans warned of 'significant' police numbers

Ahead of today's Manchester derby, Chief Superintendent Stuart Ellison of Greater Manchester Police warned fans that there would be a "significant" number of officers at the match to deal with any trouble.

Last year's match was blighted by a fan who ran on the pitch and another who thew a coin that drew blood from Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand when it struck him just above the eye.
