Rare 'one in 100,000' albino squirrel caught on camera

A sales manager has snapped an extremely rare albino squirrel after it appeared in the garden of his home in East Sussex.

Derek Glen says he reached for his camera as soon as he saw the unusual visitor, which he has nicknamed 'polar squirrel', hopping across his lawn.

There are an estimated three to five million grey squirrels in the UK and only one in 100,000 are born albino - meaning there are probably only 30-50 in the wild at any one time.
